March 18, 2002 - 5:35 p.m.

So, today was my first day back in class after spring break. Mmm boy, was it ever fun. I got to sit through an hour of my Quantum Optics professor listing people in his field who had received Nobel Prizes and telling us how their research was flawed or not really important and how much the Nobel Prize is all about politics and self-promotion. (Wow, that was a really long sentence!) I think he is just really bitter. Poor man; he's all of 35 and he doesn't have a Nobel Prize yet. Better get cracking.
